Free sample, but charged over $170 without my awareness

I was offered a free samples and just pay for the shipping cost. So i gave my credit card number to pay for the fee, but my credit card was charged over $170 after then without my awareness. I contacted my bank and they said that i have authorized for this transaction before. Trying to search more info related to this company and found that no address for returning the stuff. I have not yet opened the box and wanna to return, but dont know how to do it.

These bastards stole money from my account. Don't have anything to do with them. They trap you with "free" samples claiming that you only pay the postage. Then they bill your credit card for over $100.00. What lying thieves. Don't have anything to do with this scammers. I am going to take legal action against these thieves. Total scam, even after cancelling my acount

Ordered the free sample, then was duped 130$. I then called and cancelled my account and one month later, I noticed another 130$ removed from my account.... called and they "claim" I will be refunded... still waiting to see if that will happen. Is anyone interested in starting a class action lawsuit against these crooks?

Took money out of account, even after I called bank to alert them

I ordered the sample size for 2.95. Received product but they took the 2.95 and 125.00. Said the 2.95 was only the shipping part. They have many different tactics depending on many factors. Called to cancel and warned the bank. The second month they did it again but took out more, 138.00, bank said they could do nothing. Had to cancel card and get new one. Than I called them and their idea of fair was to offer me a 28.00 rebate. Since I just spent 275.00 on cream that is not even worth that much, it is a slap in the face. Please don't get wrapped up in this thinking you are only going to spend under 5.00. DONT DO IT!

DON'T GET CAUGHT

any "free offer - only pay the shipping" is like this. To stop monthly payments being taken from your account, in the very small print is a warning that unless you let the shipper know within 30 days that you do NOT want monthly shipments, they will continue billing you and taking money from your account.

It's not just Hydroderm - all offers like this will take your money. I know because I was taken - just once - and it took me six months and a lot of emailing, involving my bank, and arguing before I got my refund.

All that fuss and bother is a nuisance. So, if you want to order a product, do through Amazon - don't take advantage of these "free" offers from the product's site.

Many companies do this scam because they know people do not read "the fine print." These same people also either use a debit card or give them access to their bank accounts because it is somehow easier.

Silly me just agree to a free trial for this product and put my credit card just for shipping and got charged 2 months in a row for $300.. When I called them to cancel and get a refund they said is not possible, nor to speak with a supervisor and they hang up on me. It not right this situation and nobody is helping. If anyone is able to help please info and i can send pictures and bank statements... I will not put any more info on line but i can send them in mail if is necessary. Writing in fine print all the charges that you will make on our credit cards is pure Fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a rip off scam this company is, and the product doesn't even work at all!!!!!

So true it tells you it's a free sample for just the shipping cost, then when you complain about them taking over 120.00 from your acct she says it's a 18 day trial then they charge you for both samples! I would have sent them back had I known or not taken them at all, come on now it's on a site for free samples! Telling you all you do is pay the shipping fee. Don't fall for their lies! They will take over two hundres dollars of your hard earned bill money and not care one little bit ! It's all a lie and a scam to take your money!

I called them and they have no trace on my two mini hydroderm products, wrinkle serum and eye serum. Ireceived these two mini samples. NO MORE PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED because I emphatically stated I did NOT want any more. Isn'ty it a given that you should NOT take money if you are not sending the product!?? Clinique/Hydroderm -Free Trial - SCAM!

I noticed an ad to try some free Clinque products on Facebook. The ad mentioned paying for shipping only.

I did that and received the 2 products a short while later. They were not Clinque but Hydroderm. I did not think much of it and thought I would try it anyway, since it was a free sample. Then I received 2 more bottles this month (which I was not expecting) and found out that I had been playing approximately $137.00 a bottle for the month of February and was charged again for March!

I called Visa, they told me it was legitimate and that I needed to get an email from the company stating that I had cancelled the order and to send back the samples that I just received and try to get a refund. I did call and was told that I would get an email with the information. After waiting and not receiving an email, I called back. I was told these things take time!!!!!!!

Then I was given an authorization number and address to send it back to. After reading all the other posts, I am not confident that this will happen and am thinking about just cancelling my card and harassing them until they send me an email stating that I have cancelled.

Do NOT buy this product! Clinique should be concerned about this company using their name to defraud people.

I too signed up for the "free" samples. Today noticed charge on my Visa. Contacted Visa & they told me had to contact company. Also told me they had a lot of complaints on this company. Called the 1800# & spoke to Bill. !st said I had to contact them within 18 business days of order. It is within 18 business days. He was only going to refund 1/2 of amount in USD which then is converted to CAD$s. I told him is only 13 business days since order placed. He then back pedalled & said no calendar days. I mentioned that Visa had told me many complaints on this company at which time he did then say would refund full amount. We will see. DO NOT ORDER so called free samples. I too did not see anything that said I had to cancel within 18 days. When I think of free trial or sample I expect it to be free and not be charged for so called 30 day supply that is not indicated. Here is another example of a complaint: Ad says trial, only pay shipping, very, very small print says 30-day trial and must return within 30 days to get money back or to charge my account. I was charged 7 days after I received the product as took 3 weeks to get it. I am trying to send back and I had better be able to get money back. Very bad. Total scam. Hope this helps others. I wish I had read reviews prior to trying free sample. I usually do must have caught me in a weak moment.

I tried this product as I thought was a sample for $17.00. But got charged $200 for the two products. This month I got two more and another $200 off my credit card. I will stop payment through my bank. there is no one to call. Not happy. I guess other people have fallen for this scam ! I usually do not do this through Facebook. But I guess I thought samples would be good to try! Boy was I wrong. If someone else had the same problem where can I complain and to talk to someone to stop payment for these Items. I want to send back the two items I do not want. I need a phone number.

Thought my wife would like to try samples. After ordering from trusted Costco site and receiving, product, read the horrifying reviews.

Immediately phoned my credit card company and was advised that Hydroderm could get money from my card even if I was issued a new card. The company has a legal claim because of the contract you entered into when accepting the sample product.

My credit card rep told me that I must:

1. call the company 1-80*-***-****

2. ask for and get an RMA - return of merchandise authorization number

3.

cancel subscription and get a cancellation number

4. ask for a confirmation email I also got the name of the company rep that I was speaking with.

Forgot to mention had to pay for sample when mailed to me and when returning sample. Sorry, I just ate those costs and considered it a lesson learned. Feel like I got off easy considering the number of people that were scamed out of a lot more than $20.00.

I ordered from Hydroderm not knowing that I would get ripped off. if I returned their product.. last year before Xmas. I returned 4 boxes back to them. without any refund. I'm handicapped and this how they treat me by ripping me off. I want resolution ASAP. I waited long enough. If I have to send something every day I will.several times a day if I have too.... I want my money back... Pls Pls Im not a rich woman to afford that. I need my money back.. Hyrdro is killing me. So pls help me resolve this Return Issue. that Ive been trying to get my money back. I returned the product so why dont they give back my money?

"FREE" trial very deceptive and AWFUL customer service!

I saw an ad for a "FREE" trial on Facebook if I took a quiz and I could do up to two quizzes. So on Jan. 25th I did the quizzes and ordered (two separate orders) the Hydroderm "FREE" trials. Within 5 min. I called to clarify the terms because it seemed to state that if I cancelled the automatic renewal that I would actually have to pay the full price for the "FREE" product and not just shipping. When the customer service rep. confirmed that I was correct, I immediately asked to cancel because that was a completely misleading ad. There is no way to try it for "FREE" unless you continue using it. (Most places let you at least keep the "trial" as long as you pay for shipping.) After the very monotone rep (who sounded like they would rather be ANYWHERE but on the phone selling this product ) tried to talk me into just keeping it because it was "such a great product," I was told that it would be cancelled and that I would NOT be charged for shipping of either order since it was not shipped yet. I called back again (within minutes) to make sure that they had cancelled BOTH orders and was again assured that I wouldn't be charged ANYTHING and I would not receive any products. A few days ago I received one "FREE" trial and was charged for shipping for BOTH. I called AGAIN (Feb. 6th) to clear up the matter. As my husband and I read our bank statement concerning the charges to the customer rep she informed us that they had no record of those charges. We insisted that they were there and asked to speak to a manager but she just rattled off what she had just said and then hung up on us. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Honestly, if we had been treated better I would have just let it go and just known better than to ever order it again. But I will NEVER buy this product and if asked, I will tell others of my AWFUL experience with HYDRODERM and the deceptive ads. If this product was really that great they shouldn't have to resort to such trickery. VERY disappointed!
